
ComposerHas been working as a composer since age 10. Writes with a dramatic flair but in a multitude of styles. Has been successful as a collaborator with many different lyricists. Has a strong gift for melody. Is a published composer of two children's holiday musicals, One Magic Christmas and The First Easter Bunny. Steven has been music director/recording engineer/pianist and lyric writer/teacher for a new project for his client Andrea Levitt, who has created CD's for her grandson, Noah. To hear the latest CD that was made for Noah's first birthday, click here (The Candy Man, from Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory, original music and lyrics by Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse, new lyrics by Steven Silverstein and Andrea Levitt © 2005 Bubbyville Melodies). Steven also created a demo for John Ayres to give to a prospective agent consisting of the songs "Meditation", "There was Once a Man", and "Children of the Wind". The agent wanted to hear three contrasting pieces of music. The recording was done at Steven's studio with Audio Logic software; Roland JV 90 Synthesizer (from Sam Ash Music); and one standard recording "shure" microphone (purchased from Sweetwater Sound).
