Event Pianist
Steven recently played the piano at a party I hosted. He was terrific! Everyone loved his music; he chose exactly the right tunes for my guests and me. He arrived promptly and was totally professional, and it was a real pleasure having him here for the evening. I highly recommend him. E.B., New York City
Steve has been playing piano at our annual Christmas party for over a decade. His enthusiasm and spirit brings people together and he plays wonderfully. It’s the center piece of our holiday party. We love having him and his piano playing is stellar! We would want him and recommend him for any event. Terry and Elena, New York City
Steven is available to play for cocktail parties, benefits and private parties. He has a wide selection of music ranging from Classical to Musical Theater. Music Director
"...The three man band does better than expected and the songs are still delicious ..." Stewart Klein, Channel 5 (How to Succeed..., St. Barts Playhouse, NYC)
Fast, reliable, personable. Collaborates well with actors. Good ear for creating "on the spot" harmonies. Able to create dramatic and musical vocal arrangements and effective piano orchestrations. Specializes in original works and cabaret but equally comfortable with standard musicals, contemporary musicals and revivals.

Vocal Coach/Teacher
"...I always go to Steve for audition prep. He's got great taste and makes it fast and easy. He whipped up a really fun arrangement of DON'T GET AOUND MUCH ANYMORE for me ... we figured out a silly new ending and he printed it up right there. The audition accompanyist, with perfectly printed music, had no problem at all following it. He rocks! ..." John Hickok (Broadway's Aida)
"Steven is a brilliant arranger and musical director. He has a way of getting the best out of every performer. His keen ear helps you to find the best 16, even 8 bars to show off the best you. Plus, he's fun!" John Treacy Egan (Broadway's Little Mermaid, The Producers, Jekyll & Hyde)
Currently in charge of the music department for the Neighborhood Playhouse Junior School. Also has been affiliated with: Marymount Manhattan College, AMDA, Circle in the Square School.
He has worked with such luminaries as John Stamos (Full House) and David Schramm (Wings).
His students are currently appearing on Broadway in The Producers, Mamma Mia and Cabaret.
Steven also enjoys creating last minute 16 bar cuts for his students. It’s very important for actors to not only find the right sixteen bar cuts from full songs but be able to show off their dramatic and musical strengths in those cuts. As a pianist, Steven takes great care in creating a cut that his colleagues can easily play.
